We work with our client teams throughout the process from initial ideas and concept development, to execution, recons and of course planning for the next one.
Our Story
After many years in the industry, I (Sarah McLeod Hardwicke) founded Chocolate Orange Events. I wanted to create exceptional events with my clients, in a conscious and responsible way.
It starts with a conversation. Why do you want to host an event? What are your objectives? How do we meet these objectives using as few resources as possible, creating a positive impact on the people involved and leaving behind a message of meaning and hope?
And from this Chocolate Orange Events was born. We’ve spent many happy years designing events and collaborating with teams from around the world, always learning and giving our all.
The COVID pandemic created an opportunity for myself and my family and we chose to take a sabbatical. We spent over two years sailing to beautiful parts of our world. We made countless memories and saw with our own eyes the impact climate change is having on our planet.
That time gave me space to reflect on our work and on the responsibility that brands, organisations, suppliers and event architects share, to meet an event’s objectives without leaving a harmful footprint behind.
I came home with greater inspiration and a clear intention: to work with teams, foundations, brands and people who want to host events that are responsible, engaging and successful.

Briefing
We like to start by listening. You share your vision and we learn what it is you are hoping to achieve.
Concept, Proposal & Master Budget
Then we go to work, leveraging our more than twenty years of experience, to custom design your event concept, compile your master budget and refine the plan until it is exceptional.
Pre-event Planning
We do all the complex planning, logistics, budget oversight and preparation, while you ensure the plan is aligning to your vision and goals.
Onsite Execution and Management
And then it is show time!
We’re the first onsite and the last to leave, running your event with professionalism, energy and a sense of fun. We are known to be calm and always available and this allows our clients to enjoy the event they have been waiting for.
Post-event recon, feedback and analysis
And lastly, we take care of all the financial reconciliations, presenting you with the event data and reports and help you measure your ROI.
Planning for the next one
Sometimes an event is a once off, but often the success of the first sparks excitement for more. We manage long-lead time events hosted annually or biennially, as well as those that are more frequent.
Can we use some of your services but possibly not all?
Yes absolutely.
While we offer a full project management service, we appreciate that some clients only need support in certain areas. We love working as part of a team, collaborating and creating remarkable experiences that truly make a difference, and we are very happy to consult as part of your event team in the areas you require our support.
